AFT is the only statewide and national competitive fishing tournaments with normal tournament hours in existence today. Based in part off the incredibly successful format of the Professional Musky Tournament Trail (PMTT), where all fish are caught, measured, photographed & immediately released. Throughout the PMTT’s 22 years they have always been conservation minded and put the safety of the fish and ecosystem first with this incredible format. This release format has allowed the PMTT to award an incredible amount of cash, boats, motors, accessories and gear totaling millions of dollars in prizes.

In part, it is the success of the PMTT that has led to the creation of AFT. Over the past couple of years an effort to expand the immediate release format into competitive bass fishing, while keeping all anglers in mind, making it easy, affordable and available to everyone, AFT was created. Anglers can now fish their home waters or travel to their favorite, it is totally up to them. You could also travel to other states and compete on your best waters there also if you choose. It is this combination of ease and affordability that will allow for anyone to compete with small entry fees and large cash payouts. 

In order to register to fish in a tournament you and your partner must have a current AFT Membership and individual AFT Membership numbers, which you will receive after completing your AFT Membership registration. Each team member must fill out the membership registration, pay the $35 yearly membership fee and then receive their AFT Membership number, which you will then use to register for all the different AFT tournaments you want to participate in throughout the year.

Having a AFT membership and number allows anglers to compete in any AFT tournament in the country during that calendar year. Only current members may participate in AFT tournaments. The $35 membership fee is per person, per calendar year and is nonrefundable or transferable. Anyone or their partner fishing with a non-current membership will be disqualified as a team. When registering for a tournament you will have to include you and your partner's membership numbers.

To protect the integrity of America’s Fishing Tournaments – (AFT) and our anglers, all winners will be REQUIRED to submit to a Polygraph Exam before the prizes are distributed for each event.

Polygraph exams are realistically foolproof and will determine the ultimate decision of the tournament outcome. This does not mean just the 1st place winners, as others that competed in each and every tournament will be required to submit to a polygraph test. Some will be other top place finishers and others will be randomly selected.

All participants that are asked to submit to a polygraph test have up until two weeks following said event to have this completed. AFT will confirm a location and the closest or best one for the anglers and cover the cost of the polygraph tests.

If you know ahead of time that you cannot submit to a polygraph test after a tournament because of constraints of any kind, you must contact the AFT officials prior to the tournament for approval. The results of the polygraph test will be the final decision and cannot be protested or contested. If any part or in whole of a team does not pass the polygraph exam, their prizes will be forfeited and all of the standings will move up one place respectfully.

The polygraph test will only pertain to the tournament in question. If any part of a team does not feel they could pass a polygraph test for any reason, then you should not register to compete. Prizes will not be awarded until polygraph tests are completed or up to two weeks after each event, whichever comes first.

Any AFT member may be required to submit to a Polygraph or truth verification test. Failure or refusal to submit to either of these tests will result in disqualification from this tournament, forfeiture of all prize money and entry fees and will not be eligible to fish in any future AFT tournaments.  

The Live Leaderboard in the AFT app will be available for everyone to follow along during tournament hours. Anyone can view the leaderboard, including competing anglers, sponsors, media, family, friends, guests and fishing fanatics but only registered paid participants will be able to input their information into the leaderboard.

The leaderboard will be updated often during the tournament hours to follow along and keep everyone up to date on the action and where the anglers stand. The leaderboard will be shut down to viewing the last hour or two of each tournament to add excitement and anticipation to the final outcome. Anglers will still be able to access and add to their fish totals during this time but they will not be able to see the leaderboard during this time.

The final standings will then be uploaded and posted after the fish sizes have been confirmed by tournament officials. This is acting along the same principals as weigh-in tournaments, as no one know the final standing until all the fish have been weighed and verified. This could take a couple hours after the tournament has ended. 

The AFT will be Live Streaming updates throughout the day for every tournament on all of the AFT social media outlets and YouTube. This will include current tournament updates and Live Stream interviews with some of the top teams throughout the day, broadcast on all of AFT media outlets. This will be a fast pace, on the water, live interaction with many of the top competing teams before, during and after each of the tournaments that are ongoing that day.

We will also do after tournament follow up and pre-tournament interviews. It will be an awesome way for family, friends, sponsors and fans to follow along.
